West Lodge Park Hotel



Built in 1838, West Lodge Park Hotel is a handsome white Victorian house set in 35 acres. The grounds include an nationally renowned arboretum with over 800 species of trees and shrubs, begun by the hotel's founder, Edward Beale, in 1963. The arboretum includes national collections of hornbeam and elaeagnus and a Wollemi Pine (see below). Gardens to visit while staying at West Lodge Park Hotel include Hatfield House Garden (9 miles), Benington Lordship Gardens (24 miles) and Knebworth House Garden (22 miles).
