Winterbourne Botanic Garden

A woodland garden, surviving from an Arts and Crafts garden. It has a pond with a Japanese bridge, purchased from a Japanese garden at a Chelsea Flower Show in the 1920s. There are also geographical beds, a pergola, herbaceous borders, a rock garden and a walled rose garden.

History

Edwardian Arts and Crafts house and garden open to the public 7 days a week. Originally built for John Sutton Nettlefold and family in 1904, now owned and run as a charity by the University of Birmingham. There are two floors in the house and 7 acres of garden to visit.

April to October: 10.30 am - 5.30pm; November to March: 10.30am - 4pm. Last entry to the site is 45 minutes before closing. There are a few close days in December/January, see the website for details.
