A fine sixteenth century house with gardens. The stewpond is as old as the house. The walled garden has a lily pond. There are walks, lawns, trees and shrubs. The video shows Ingatestone in the 1960s
About 10 acres of garden - mainly lawn, trees and shrubs with some ornamental water and several avenues and walks.
The garden was first established when the house was built in 1540 but few features survive from that time apart from the stew pond, some boundary and internal walls and possibly the lime walk.
