Dichtergarten (Poets' Garden)

The garden  was formerly known as the Finanzgarten (Finance Garden) because the Finance Minister used the garden. In 1982, the garden was dedicated to poets and writers associated with the city of Munich. Dichtergarten means Poets' Garden ("Dichter" is German for "poet"). There is a statue of Confucius that was erected to mark the 20th anniversary of the partnership of the Shandong province of China with the state of Bavaria. The garden is situated between the Hofgarten and Englischer Garten.
