Château de Ferrières

The chateau is in an Italian renaissance-revival style (built for Baron James de Rothschild) and the gardens were designed by Sir Joseph Paxton. As Paxton's work at Chatsworth and the Crystal Palace, there is a formal terrace near the building and it gives onto a landscape park with gardenesque planting.
