Brucemore Garden

George Douglas, one of the founders of Quaker Oats, hired OC Simmonds, the landscape architect, to re-design the garden. He added added a pond, formal gardens, vegetable and cutting gardens. The character is broadly English but the house and the garden look slightly larger than they would be in England.
