Alexandra Park

Alexandra Park is a long, narrow greenspace running through the centre of Hastings. The park includes a boating lake, bowling green. woodland, lawns, ornamental beds, a cafe and war memorial. The park was restored with Heritage Lottery funding in 2004. It is just the kind of park the HLF likes to support. The park was planted in 1877 by Robert Marnock and opened in 1882 by the Prince and Princess of Wales (Princess Alexandra). An album of photographs was presented to Princess Alexandra by Robert Marnock.
