A sixteenth century house, with a classical portico, set in a serpentine park. The park was designed by John Chute between 1755 and 1776. There are lawns, lakes, woodland walks and a wild garden.

Opening times - April to October. Daily except Thursday and Friday. Also weekends in February and March. Open 11am to 5pm.
Admission - Adult £8.50, Grounds only £5.50

    Is it really a garden? if my failing memory doesn't betray me there weren't a lot of planting.

    Lots of lawns, a nature area and a lake. Given that my enjoyment of gardens is as much for the wild fauna as the imported flora I enjoyed it but measured as a garden......

    the house is worth a visit.
