Shalamar Bagh in Delhi

The Shalamar Bagh ('Garden of Love') was used as a staging post on the summer journey to Kashmir. Aurangzeb was crowned emperor here in 1658. The central pavilion (Shish Mahal) was built by Shah Jahan and some of the floral painting survives. The garden is desperately in need of restoration.
