Pinjore Gardens were started in the 17th century, designed by Nawab Fidal Khan the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb now have a zoo, plant nursery, Japanese garden and picnic lawns. The gardens are on a sloping site with fountains and pavilions. The central water channel has fountains and rest pavilions at change points.The Jal Mahal, in a large pool, is now used as a restaurant. The gardens include orchards.
