Knossos was the Minoan capital of Crete (c 2,000-1400 BC). The palace of Knossos has been excavated and partially restored. It has a 'labyrinth' (the word is believed to have been first applied to the layout) of rooms and corridors round a large Central Court.

I liked the restoration work, whether or not it is historically correct. Most Greek archaeological places are just piles of broken rock. I wish they would do a restored garden too.
