A sixteenth century house with gardens. The stewpond is as old as the house. The walled garden has a lily pond. There are walks, lawns, trees and shrubs.
About 10 acres of garden - mainly lawn, trees and shrubs with some ornamental water and several avenues and walks.
The garden was first established when the house was built in 1540 but few features survive from that time apart from the stew pond, some boundary and internal walls and possibly the lime walk.

Nothing has changed since I was head gardener back in 2006. I was there for over 5 years and hounded by certain people to improve things which I did with a great assistant and I see that it has not progressed since 2008. What a surprise. I loved being there and worked all hours to help the Hall.
