A woodland garden, stream garden, walled garden and rock garden run by members of the horticultural society. There are Alpine and Tufa Houses. It has a fine site with a natural stream. William Groves, the former owner, sponsored plant collection expeditions to the Himalayas. The gardens hold National Collections of Astilbe, Hydrangeas and Polystichum ferns.

Opening times All year. Daily. Open dawn to dusk. Wardens on duty 10am to 5pm Easter to October. Groups strictly by arrangement.
