    the village is long gone (not a clearance to make way for the house), only the church in the park are a reminder (worth a look for the royal brass). the park is pleasant and a good spot for wildlife (i've seen Barn Owl in the middle of the day in winter).

    the main garden is given over to lawns and trees but I do like the walled garden. This has been well restored but is not overly manicured.

    If not one of the top houses and gardens it's one of my favourites.

    The grounds are interesting enough but nothing special.The kitchen garden is well worth a visit though, as it has been lovingly worked on. A real treat.
