Delos Housing

The sacred island of Delos has some of the best surviving examples of 'classical' Greek housing. The typical arrangement is with a peristyle (roofed corridor) enclosing a paved court. There were often water tanks beneath the courtyard paving. Therefore if there was any planting, it must have been in pots.
