Gardenvisit Editorial

The old flower market has been imaginatively restored and the area pedestrianised by the GLC to create a new shopping centre (of boutiques and bistros) which has become one of London's major tourist attractions. It is no longer a garden in the traditional sense - but it is an enclosed and attractive space for pedestrian use.
Address - Floral Street, London, Greater London, England, WC1
Opening times - All year. Daily. Open 24 hours/day.
Admission - Free
Website - Visit the Covent Garden website

Covent Garden has never been a garden....ever. Just because it has 'garden' in the title doesn't mean anything. In fact, it was famous for it's flower market...many many many years ago.

It is a lovely place to walk around, see the Royal Opera house, have some food, watch street entertainers and visit the London Transport museum.

It's a lovely shopping area - but not a hint of a plant - so no longer a garden...!
