popular with us locals. nice cup of coffee, and the garden centre is well cared for. however, we don't like sharing the comfy sofas with dogs, and have no wish to eat lunch with dogs around our feet!

I'm really puzzled by the last review - because Compton Acres is only a crummy imitation of an Italianate garden. If I could give it negative stars I would!

My family and I had a fantastic day out at Compton Acres - not only were the gardens beautiful, but the views across Poole Harbour were amazing - truly a breath of fresh air.

There were a number of restaurants there serving excellent food, and we picked up a few goodies in the gifts shop before we left.

    Would definitely recommend it
