A late example of the high Victorian Mixed style, made in the 1929s and now commercially run as a tourist enterprise There are seven distinct gardens, including a Roman Garden, an English Garden, an Italian Garden, a Palm Court, a Japanese Garden, a semi-tropical Glen and other features. Much-visited and maintained to a high standard but not always admired by designers.
