A Spanish Revival house with set in an 11 acre estate designed by landscape architects Ralph Stevens and Lockwood de Forest and completed in 1933. Casa del Herrero means House of the Blacksmith. Ganna Walska Lotusland is close by - both properties require advance reservation and with planning could be visited on the same day.

(5.0/5)Casa del Herrero presents a wonderful example of the Spanish Colonial Revival style which is still so popular in California. The house and garden complement each other beautifully. I strongly recommend that anyone who plans to visit should become a member first. The cost of two tickets is the same as the the price of a basic membership which includes free admission (with reservations) and guest passes, a newsletter and free or discounted entrance to reciprocating gardens and museums. Note: Reservations are necessary because of the terms of the Conditional Use Permit under which Casa del Herrero operates.
