As well as ensuring continuation of a garden on this historic site, the Gardens provide a dynamic learning environment for students, as well as an area of real beauty and interest for visitors. We have every confidence that they will continue to evolve and will provide to be a place that visitors will look forward to returning to time and time again.
The Walled Gardens lie within the grounds of a mediaeval Priory, and many of its fine buildings, including the walls of the gardens, remain. Over the last few years, the Walled Gardens have undergone a dramatic period of redevelopment. The areas now open to the public represent phase one of the development. Other areas where work is yet to be undertaken, will see the construction of planting of a Formal Rose Garden.

Great enclosed gardens with lots of different aspects to see. Lovely shop with local items. Value for money plants - great to see most grown onsite.

(5.0/5)Friendly staff - lovely gardens. Great variety of plants for sale - nice to see that majority of them are grown on site. Visited as part of a group with a tour.

(5.0/5)The gardens are a joy to visit. There are plants for sale which have been propagated from the large variery of unusual herbaceous plants in the well tended borders. My husband got tired of waiting for me so he enjoyed a coffee and home made cake whilst I toured the glasshouse.
