It is truly a beautiful and calm place! I went there in early June and weather was simply amazing. Beihai prooved all my expectations!
p.s. if you will decide to go there straight from the Forbidden city be ready for some mountain climbing=)

We had a lovelly afternoon boating on the lake. After the hot dust of Beijing, Beihai Park was cool and quiet. It must have been even quieter when the imperial family had the park to themselves. We stopped now and again to buy ice cream. Very nice
