Beacon Hill Park

Gardenvisit Editorial

The oldest and largest park in Victoria is named after 2 beacons placed there by the Hudson's Bay Company. The layout was the result of a competition, won by the Scottish garden designer John Blare in 1889, and has the delightful quality of a public garden in Central Scotland, with a lake, rhododendrons, gardenesque planting, a stone bridge, ducks, bedding, pines and weeping willows.
Address - Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
