Born - Died : 1762 - 1843
A nephew of William Gilpin, W S Gilpin became a garden designer c 1806. William Sawry Gilpin wrote a book of practical Hints upon Landscape Gardening (1832). Examples of Gilpin's work can be seen at Scotney Castle, Audley End and Clumber Park.
