Soseki, Muso

Musō Soseki (or Kokushi) was a Zen Buddhist monk belonging to the Rinzai tradition. He is famous as a garden designer, a teacher, and a poet. He was born in Ise and lived in Kamakura and Kyoto. He re-established contact with China and Chinese gardens. His known garden projects include:
