Jean-Baptiste Alexander Le Blond

French garden designer and architect, a pupil of Le Notre. Jean-Baptiste Alexander Le Blond designed the parterres which were illustrated in Desallier D'Arganville's La Theorie et la pratique du jardinage (1709). The English editions of the book have Le Blond's name on the title page. Le Blond worked for Peter the Great on Petrodvorets (Peterhof) at St Petersburg (formerly Leningrad).
