Jones, Inigo

Born - Died : 1573 - 1652

Inigo Jones visited Italy several times, as a landscape painter, and returned to work as an architect and garden designer, famed for introducing the Palladian style (ie the architectural style of Andrea Palladio) to England. Inigo Jones designed the Queen's House in Greenwich Park and worked with Isaac de Caus on the subsequently destroyed garden at Wilton House.
