Edouard Andre

French landscape architect, born near Bourges and trained as a horticulturalist. In 1860 he joined Alphand and Haussmann on the team which 'redesigned' Paris with boulevards and parks. Worked on public parks throughout Europe and became first chairman of the Ecole d'Horticulture de Versailles, which became the Ecole Nationale Superieure d'Horticulture.
