The park was designed in a prarie style by O C Simonds. Robert Lawson was landscape architect for the Rose Garden. The park has 9,000 square feet of greenhouse area. Ther is also an iris garden, a perennial border, tye Betty Mood Smith Rockery, a Roman Cultural Garden and an outdoor cactus garden.
