The estate was designed as a private house and became a museum after the owners' death. There are elements of the Art Deco style about the house and the garden. The original Picturesque Garden was designed by Jules Buyssens. René Pechère designed the Labyrinth in 1968, with seven green rooms of greenery inspired by the Song of Salomon, and the Garden of the Heart in 1969.

    The garden and the house are worth a visit when you are in Brussels. The house is a wonderful example of the Art Deco style with a wonderful rose garden. It is as if the owners have just stepped away. The garden is fun and the maze is a wonderful diversion for children. From time to time, there are art exhibits in the garden.
