Ubud Botanic Garden

Ubud Botanic Garden was established by a German (Stefan Reisner) and his Javanese wife. The site, at in Kutuh Kaja on the banks of a river gorge, is held on a 30-year lease from the local village. It has a botanical collection of local and exotic species and a range of Theme Gardens: a Great Fountain a Fern Garden a Chocolate Grove a Heliconia Hill a Fragrant Floors aMeditation Court a Bamboo Grove a Water Lily Pond a Rain Forest Observation Post a Bromeliad Garden and The Alang Alang Trail. Stefan Reisner was inspired by Prince Puckler-Muskau.
