A fascinating Victorian garden with a wealth of original features. Many have been recently restored - the Rose Garden Gazebos, 4 listed gothic stone seats, an ornamental Aviary and over 40 pieces of garden statuary. There is a rose garden, formal terrace parterres, an arboretum, 3 formal avenues of Holly, Irish Yew and Portugal Laurel and a drained boating pond. The kitchen garden is inspirational with a good variety of fruit and veg. The Orangery will be revealed from its scaffolding covering in 2012 - worth visiting just to see this. There is also a range of metal glasshouses and a small enclosed flower garden next to the walled garden.
