Tryon Palace Gardens

Gardenvisit Editorial

A georgian house, the former residence of the state's Royal Governor. The garden has been restored to the Colonial English taste of the 1770s. The design makes use of serpentine lines, as in the Serpentine Style. But the way they are used, in a parterre, is not found in England.
