The arboretum is about 12 acres and dates back to 1820. It has been open to the public since 1958. There are national collections of oaks, rhododendrons, conifers and hostas. Plants are well labelled. The site is 4m below sea level so canals are used for drainage.

Beautiful romantic garden which you can enjoy all year round. Visit the rhododrendondays in May. Please look at the website www.trompenburgtuinen.nl for the exact openening days and hours.
