The arboretum is about 12 acres and dates back to 1820. It has been open to the public since 1958. There are national collections of oaks, rhododendrons, conifers and hostas. Plants are well labelled. The site is 4m below sea level so canals are used for drainage.

Opening times - All year. Daily. Open 9am to 5pm (10am to 4pm at weekends). November to March: opens 12 noon on Sundays.

Beautiful romantic garden which you can enjoy all year round. Visit the rhododrendondays in May. Please look at the website www.trompenburgtuinen.nl for the exact openening days and hours.
