Set in a peaceful location this ancient Cornish Manor house is a fascinating place to visit. Within the gardens are a turf maze and reconstructed Elizabethan kitchen garden. There is a fine orchard with many local varieties of apple.Within the house is a collection of old English board games that children can use. Outside on the bowling green are Cornish Kayles a form of Skittles which you can try and Slapcock( tudor Badminton)This is a great place to take the grandchildren as there is plenty for them to see and do.
There is also a collection of historic lawn mowers for those interested in such things.

(5.0/5)A small informal garden with an orchard that provides an entirely appropriate setting for the Tudor house. Much improved in recent years. Plenty of space to picnic and enjoy the peaceful countryside around. A beautiful and tranquil garden where you can enjoy Cornish Kayling and Tudor Badminton on fine days.

(4.0/5)a small, i suppose, unimportant garden.
that said the house and garden have an intimate homely style.
