Go to Torosay Castle and Gardens
A spectacular garden, and particularly lovely in autumn because of all the fine trees. A series of terraces, with impressive statuary, which came from a deserted villa in Padua.
The new Japanese garden is lovely, with its views over Duart Bay, but there is also a water garden; and many rare and unusual plants throughout the terraces.
Use this as your starting point on the lovely island of Mull - you won't be disappointed!

(5.0/5)My husband and I were very impressed with the gardens at Torosay. It was our first visit to Mull and it was definitely the highlight of our trip.
The gardens are so beautifully laid out, I especially liked the Japanese garden. The sea view was breathtaking. The abundance of colour was simply delightful, everything was in full bloom! The camellias and azaleas looked stunning.
I think the idea of having a café is a really good one. It’s nice to have a tea or coffee and know that you have the time to explore Torosay at your leisure. Next time, I’ll certainly bring the grandchildren. I’m sure that they would enjoy it here.
I congratulate the gardeners for their hard work in maintaining the grounds of Torosay and look forward to coming back next year to appreciate the natural beauty of the gardens.
