The Courts Garden

An eighteenth century house, in Bath stone, with a twentieth century Arts and Crafts garden. The Courts garden has terraces, stone paths, hedges, lily ponds, bog and orchard gardens. Hedges divide the garden into separate rooms, with mixed and herbaceous borders in themed colour ranges. There is a three acre Arboretum with naturalised bulbs surrounding the formal gardens.

Visited last week, had a lovely time. A wide variety of plants, many flowering, plenty of colour and lovely plant combinations. A garden with plenty of herbacious borders.

A small garden but one that has something of interest through out its "season".

The garden has a tranquil feel to it. There are a couple of large ponds and it is wildlife friendly. Also some nice seating to sit read a book and soak up the atmosphere.

    The tearoom is excellent btw
