The Breakers Garden

The Breakers is the Vanderbilt's Newport 'summer cottage' - and the grandest example of its type with a palatial villa was designed by Richard Morris Hunt in 1893. It is maintained by The Newport Mansions Preservation Society, who also own 10 other properties in the area.
