Swarovski Crystal Worlds (Kristallwelten)

  5.0/5 (1 ratings)

Gardenvisit Editorial

The famous Swarovski Crystal works was founded in 1895. In 1995, to mark the centenary of its foundation, a park and museum were created. It was designed by Andre Heller, working with Brian Eno, Susanne Schmogner and Studio Azurro. Outdoors, the chief feature is the head of an Alpine Giant. He has crystal eyes and spouts water, like a flowing tongue, into a fountain pool. The maze is a replica of the artist's hand.

This is a truly amazing place - brilliant for both adults and children! Lovely gardens for those of us who like plants, with a fabulous backdrop of mountains. The museum is astounding - well worth making a detour for.
