I have to agree with Adam. A fascinating house a pleasant garden but not in the first league.

I understand that the garden is looking slightly 'au natrel' because (and this will surprise you) it is only looked after by ONE full time gardener! There is a seasonal gardener too, and a whole group of volunteers who do great things, but can you imagine just being the only one to look after such a place. It's not surprising that it looks as though it could do with more attention. I think it's a credit to the poor gardener and actually it's not bad at all when you understand.

The most fascinating and enjoyable places we visited in the Cotswolds, we loved the natural setting and felt placed back in time. The garden was uncrowded, fabulous stone walls and the dovecote so attractive. For anyone who loves the country this is a must visit.

A charming house with a pleasant garden, but no great shakes. I think it needs more money spent on upgrading the plantings if the NT wish to stump cup the cash!
