Reviews of Roseraie du Val-de-Marne (Roseraie de L'Haÿ)

I'm sure it must look an absolute picture in June.it was very much over at the end of July with only some central beds around the pool showing colour and a few other late performers.
Sorry to say but the garden is poorly maintained and many of the roses look very sad..I wonder if too much root disturbance from weeding is having an adverse effect..roses in the public area of the park and at some motorway services seemed in far better health.

Visiting Roseraie de Val-de-Marne was one of the highlights of my holiday in Paris at the end of May 2009. I was one of only two people visiting on the fine Spring day and have hundreds of stunning photos as the early older Bourbons and moss roses were at their best. It was a perfect antidote to the busy city time I was having in Paris. Anyone who loves roses must go and see this garden. The young man on the ticket booth was very charming too! I also loved the Jarden du Luxembourg and the Jardin des Plantes have a small and lovely rose garden.
