A Tudor castle, made into a house in the eighteenth century, with a serpentine park. Dorothy Stroud comments that 'No documents have come to light but a family tradition ascribes the landscaping of the grounds to Brown'. There an eighteenth century orangery and a nineteenth century serpentine lake. The Ripley Castle walled garden holds collections of hyacinths and tropical plants.

Opening times - Garden open daily all year except Christmas day and Boxing Day. Open 9am to 5pm (4:30pm in winter). Castle open daily from Easter to October and weekends throughout the year. Castle also open Tuesday and Thursdays in November and March.
