Go to Queen's Park, Crewe
"Crewe Park" has been in the process of redevelopment over the past few years, which finally seems to be nearing completion. Although some of the changes did not seem necessary (the removal of some trees) the park now looks spacious and tidy - that is if you ignore some of the areas that still require finishing.
Being relatively local I have visited the park many times, both as a child and now with my two young children and I can say that it is much improved. This park has something for everyone. You can feed the ducks & swans, play ball games on the massive grassed area, the new play equipment is excellent and the outdoor exercise apparatus is a novel addition. The cafe is also far better than its predecessor and the toilet facilities are superb compared to what used to be there.
All in all a lovely park which my family and I enjoy visiting. I would have given it five stars if the little bits that need completing had actually been finished (extending the railings along the bridges and tidying up around the pond/small lake). My only other criticism would be that there should be a pedestrian crossing by the car park as the traffic calming measures aren't really adequate.

(4.0/5)what an abomination! this park has not been completed. i had the displeasure of walking around with my family & dog to find that paths were full of potholes and big piles of rubbish & branches. the worst parts were the paths leading up to the new bridges that were not edged off properly and that the tarmac had crumbled away. the other was that the lake was full of a smelly & spongey gunk floating on the lake. my kids enjoyed the play area but even that was next to a fenced off monstrosity which i think used to be where the greenhouses used to be.
i cannot imagine how this park had a grand opening two weeks ago. cheshire east should be ashamed of themselves. my experience was trulu awful and i don't think we will be going back anytime soon.
have given one star as the play area and cafe as they were the best bits of our visit, although £1.60 for a cup of watered down cordial was a bit steep.

(1.0/5)worst park ever, cannot believe £6.5 million spent on it.
just who thought 3 huge bridges fitted the landscape, they would be more at home on london bridge!!
tarmac path, just why???!!! looks harsh, poor tree choice and barely any shrubs or flowers.
the war memorial has silly white gravel spilling over and looking untidy, no where interesting for children. being a railway town why is there no model railway or even an old engine to play on?!
the childrens area is messy and poor choice of play equipment.
the highlight would be the pavillion roof, very classy.

(1.0/5)Listened to The French Quarter Quartet today, music was wonderful even though they were performing in a makeshift tent, apparently the qaurtet perform only once a year at this venue. More appearances would be good. We will look out for further appearances and will be quite happy to bring our own seats, the lack of which probably put many off.

(5.0/5)i like the pic it tells you a lot about the park

(3.0/5)There isn't an option for no star.
An absolute disgrace now - all at the hands of the Council!
Disgusting
