The Garden at the rear of Park Hill was developed at the same time as the Georgian extension and was constructed with high brick lined walls to create a micro climate to help the cultivation of plants. The Trust has restored the garden to its original late 18th C design and contains plants that were common in that period.

A very friendly couple run this alpine nursery where you can buy a large variety of alpines of good, well grown (not forced) quality and get good advice. We have been regular customers over the years and never been disappointed.
Well worth a visit.
