I visited this park on 14/04/09 and found it extremely disappointing after reading about it on Gardenvisit.com in 2008 and in DK Eyewitness Travel "Spain" 2008 edition . The reality was very different to the descriptions. The lake was drained, the hard and soft surfaces were degraded and in some places severely. Graffiti was on many of the sculptures. The gradients on the stairs are unpleasant to walk up and down and in some areas unsafe. This may have been an example of innovative "post modern" landscape design when it was built in 1986 but in 2009 it is in desperate need of refurbishment which may be about to take place. 2 days after my visit barricades were being placed around the perimeter

Its not so large, but I was there on a really nice day and it was good to see people lying about on the grass and enjoying themselves. It made me want to live in Barcelona and to be young again too!
