This well structured, carefully designed garden was created by architect Sir Miles Warren. The garden is terraced and divided into "rooms". Hedges are used to shelter plants that would otherwise struggle in the high winds. Features include a herb potager, box-edged rose garden, herbaceous borders, Red Garden, gazebo, rectangular pond, arched bridge and statues. There are spectacular views down to Lyttleton Harbour.
