The Niagara Floral Clock was inspired by the Floral Clock in Princes Street Gardens at the foot of The Mound in Edinburgh. Nearby is the Centennial Lilac Gardens and 1.5 miles south is the Niagara Parks Botanical Garden and School of Horticulture. They are good places to see elaborate floral carpet bedding displays of the kind popular in the nineteenth century. The Niagara Parks Commission runs a Fragrance Garden with indoor floral bedding and there is a Butterfly Conservatory (in the Botanical Gardens)
