Gardenvisit Editorial

Patrick Blanc designed the vertical garden (le mur végétal) on the wall of the museum. The living wall is 200m long by 12m high. It is visually impressive but there are drainage problems. Architect Jean Nouvel designed the building, who was awarded the Pritzker Prize in 2008.

It looks nice, but gets only two stars because its such a strange idea. Surely it must use a lot of water, and take a lot of maintenance to remove overgrown and dead plants. I would also think it would leak into the structure of the building.
