Once you get the different idea of a garden in an arid country with a hot climate in a very crowded city this indeed is a pleasant place. There is water in a big pond and irrigating fruit trees, some formal features - appearing a little bit austere I must admit - a rectangular pond with fishes, stands, a small - but fine - pavilion (10 dh entrance fee), the main road axis pointing straight towards the Koutoubia, endless regular rows of olive and lemon trees - but plenty of shade - and a happy crowd of young and old, cheering, singing, playing music, coming and going, enjoying the bright side of life, very friendly people... just relax and join in!
