Excellent and unique botanical garden with a large variety of plants from several continents and breathtaking views of sea and cliffs. Garden exists since 1920 and its rich collection is very well maintained. We spent about 3 enchanting hours walking around and admiring plants and sea views. In my personal opinion this is a premier must see attraction on Costa Brava.
Some practicalities: Box office has brochure on multiple languages; very clean restrooms are a few steps from the main entrance; cafeteria in the middle of the garden on a hill; to rich garden from Blanes train station take bus #4 to plaza Catalonia (single one way ticket about 1.20 or 1.40 euro), them either walk uphill or better take one of the touristic buses "Jardin botanic" (about 2 euro round trip; however there 2 kinds of these buses depending on season or else, one would take you only to Marimutra garden and back but the other one would go further to Pinea de Rosa garden (collection of cactuses) where connecting "jardin botanic" bus from Lloret del Mar would deliver you to the third romantic Italian style garden Santa Clotilda).

First of all: We asked before going in if the paths were ok for persons in wheelchairs.
    The answer was yes.
    Our conclusion:
Very bad place to go if you have a wheelchair person with you. they give 2,50 discount but the person pushing the wheelchair will not be able to see anything.. Either pushing the wheelchair up a steep hill or taking a breath to survive.
    No complaints are accepted..
In our case they said it was due to the bad weather.
They are just a money grabbing institute and not interested in the person that is visiting the garden.
