Some of the finest formal gardens in the Channel Islands. The walled garden dates to mid 19th Century complete with some of its original Victorian lay out.
The high walls give protection from the wind and the island's almost frost free climate allows many tender and half hardy plants to thrive.

I have seen this garden the third time in 40 ys now - but when I stepped through the gate it yet was an unexpected explosion of colours and shapes behind these tall grey walls of La Seigneurie. One would never imagine this on the tiny quiet contemplative wonderful island of Sark/ Sercq far off the main rush of tourists...
