An arboretum begun by the astronomer, Bernard Lovell, on a flat site dominated by the radio telescope. In addition to the trees, there are National collections of malus and sorbus, with the Heather Society's calluna collection.

Opening times All year. March to October open daily 10:30am to 5:30pm. November to February closed Mondays - 10:30am to 3pm weekdays and 11am to 4pm weekends. Closed Christmas to New Year.
